My next system is going to be a single 18 setup on 3000watts. So far the plan was to go with the Fi BTL, but the more I read about the Xcon, the more I want one. The only problem I have is that I am worried that it couldn't take 3000 daily. I would be easy on the gain, I just don't want to fry such a beautiful piece of equipment. EDIT: (Spelling)

I recently purchased a dual 2ohm Zcon 15" sub and I was hoping to get some feedback from others. I am currently running a Hifonics BRZ2100 to the sub and it sounds good but I know I'm under powering this beast. Consequently, I am looking to upgrade to something more powerful. The amps I had in mind are. DDM3B, American Bass VFL 150, or Sundown 2500. If anyone has a similar set up or had or currently running one of these amps please give me some feedback and or if you have experienced any issues. Any suggestions would also be helpful. Thanks.

Just left marks house. My dad and i both got a demo of xcons. They sound even better than i imagined. They were really crisp, tight, and accurate. They love the low notes. They also put out quite a bit of output. Thanks again for the demo mark. Maybe i will have to switch out my xl 18s to xcons now

I documented the complete build from start to finish for this enclosure since folks wanted to see it, all 65 pictures worth. The only pic's I didn't take were of the enclosure with carpet, the camera batteries crapped out. http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/mm184/m...verado%20build/ You'll have to view the album start from the last page backwards, it just happened to upload the pics in that order.

Hey guys. I'm still haven't decided on subwoofer upgrades. I was recommended to go with an XCON in my last thread, which it seems everyone here likes them alot. I would only have about 1000-1200 watts to play with, on a good day, So my question would be whether or not the XCON is better for me over an ICON, with that amount of power. I have room to run the SSA small ported XCON 12 enclosure, and could run the optimum ICON enclosure I think. Would I hear a differance in the xcon vs icon in terms of output with that much power? Would it be worth the extra $100 to get the xcon over the icon?

alrite so heres the basics, box is 3 cu ft tuned to 35 hz ported. powered by a SoundStream PCA 2000d turned half way up on gain, so about ~1000 watts. Let's just say if Bass Mekanik was a judge, this sub would pass. The first disc i threw in was my Bass Mekanik Reload cd and it sounded great. After a while of driving and listening i decided to turn the amp up more so now its gettin around 1300-1400 watts and still works perfectly. My second test involves ~1000 watts on rap music. i threw in 3 6 mafia late night tip, icp- Aint yo bidness, and KottonMouth Kings-bump. The sub sounds great. When the bass starts to get faster, the woofer does not mutter, or kind of j…

I have 16.72274606 cubic feet available (calculator copy/paste ftw). I want new subs. I can do 4 15" Dcons sealed...Idk about ported. I could squeeze 2 18" Icons ported, or easily seal them. I could port an 18" Xcon. Mainly I'm wondering how much I lose by going sealed. So Dcons or Icons do well sealed? Throw some ideas out there!
