I have an old SSA Icon 10" laying around somwhere in my garage that I want to use. I was just wondering if anyone knows what the actual weight on those are and if it is okay to use with a single baffle on the enclosure. Its gonna be in a sealed box with 1000-1200 watts max.

How low can two 10" Dcons go?? I wanna make a ported box tune to 30hz but I listen to a lot of hip hop, dnb and dubstep. So, I want them to hit low, to vibrate my car pretty good(94 Corolla sedan). The power is 500w rms.

http://www.soundsolu...ionsAudio/GCON/ GCONs are loaded on the store, not quite ready for sale, but we are getting there, about to post specs and descriptions for them. Better get ready, we only have a few hundred on the first order for motors. When they are gone, there will be a wait for them.

  11. Hi SSA, Currently in the market for a 15" sub that works best in sealed, airspace is 2.0 to 2.5 cf^3. Power for use is 750W on low-end to 1800W on high-end. Music preference is a mix of r&b, rock and some rap when the mood strikes. This will be in a crew cab truck, orginally I was looking at a quad setup for 8's or a single 12 but decided to look at going with the biggest driver I can fit. Feedback from users of the ICON and XCON would be great. Thanks in advance for your time and assistance. MW

  16. Due to a very high need to keep track of everyone's recones, and to cut down on shipping quote time on our end we decided to get a bit more efficient and post these recone kits with various options per sub woofer series in our store. This is a much better way for us and for you as the customer to keep track of your recone status with SSA. ***We apologize in advance for some of the shipping quotes you may receive via UPS, in this day and age, there is nothing we can do about the raising cost of shipping rates. Enjoy. http://www.soundsolu...gories/Recones/

My son and I just got done swapping out amps to power my original Blue dust cap Icon 10. It was being powered by a Zed built Usacoustics USA2150 bridged and rated at 500 watts. I acquired an ESX 275.2 and honestly...I wasn't expecting a huge difference. We have the d2 Icon running bridged mode on the ESX. The rating for bridged mode is 825 watts. Quick rundown of the system..... HU- Eclipse CD8454 running 2 way active. Tweet amp- Usacoustics USA 2100 powering a set of Vifa XT25 ring radiators Mid amp- Usacoustics USA2150 powering a set of ID OEM's in a heavily dampened set of doors Sub amp as mentioned is an ESX 275.2 powering the Original blue cap Icon 10. The sub…

This sucks!! I told the guy at the audio shop to use as much trunk space thats possible for my zcon 15' but i jus picked up the box nd i still have like 3 inches in length in space... Atm its a 4.0cu ft but wouldnt those 3 inches even make it better? Nd its tuned at 32hz! That box cost me 260$ i'll post some pics up soon!

Great sub...I do have a question though. I bought the sub from my son.....he bought it here. We built a 1.35 cube box tuned to 32 hz according to the reccommended box designs. I have been running it off a Usacoustics USA 2150 bridged rated for 500 watts. Probobly a little more than that......It has sounded incredible. I had the pleasure of recently aquiring an ESX Q275.2. Bridged rating is 800 watts. Am I getting close to the power handling of this sub? I have tried to find specs on the original run of Icons but have had no success.

  23. Lets see how many likes we can get on this layout. We want to offer some more "in style" colors, we are thinking dark purple, sapphire blue and black. Here is the purple design. Also, if you are at SBN, hunt us down, you will get a free shirt while supplies last "Like" (right hand side of post) this post if you like the design!

  24. I just picked up a single DCON 10" S4 and can't wait to get it installed. It will be going into a custom made sealed fiberglass box that is built into the side of my Cayenne. The box, after displacement, is .93 cu ft. The box used to house a single L7 and did fairly well. I am not opposed to running the DCON sealed but I am thinking of possibly porting the box for a bit different sound. I have already re-faced the box for the DCON. My question to the experts is, would it be worth it to port the box even though it would be smaller than recommended? A couple of additional things... I can increase the box by adding a 1-ended sealed piece of 4" PVC pipe that would effectively…
