The HDS200 series is a revised version of our SDC2.5. The major differences you will see is the switch from a cast basket to stamped, and the addition of push connectors instead of the direct leads. These woofers also have an added cooling option to the backplate, which the SDC2.5 was lacking. With these changes we were able to drop the prices for you all.

The HDS200 series is a great woofer for those not looking to upgrade their charging system but still want to rattle their car. At 600W RMS with a 2.5" coil they are capable of fitting in smaller enclosures for placement with stock installs and everyday street beat. We do suggest putting these, along with all of our woofers in ported enclosures due to the suspension set-up. (Two pairs of spiders, one wired, one non.)

  • 2 weeks later...

I want to run 2 of these in a ported box with a 6 inch aeroport, tuned at 34hz.

The box will be about 4cubes without displacement of the subs, is this good enough?

I really want to run 2 15s but I am not sure about the airspace needed for that. These are crazy cheap!

IMO of they are 15's I think you will need more cubes. But I could be wrong May be the main man up there can shed some light ^_^

Dangercdv,

Two 12's would be perfect in 4^ft! Anything smaller and you risk chuffing the woofers.

So should I reverse mount just to be safe? to keep all 4 cubic feet?

You are still running into displacement with reverse mounting. You should be fine with however you decide to mount them!

So what is exacatly ideal for pair of Hds2-15's? Im looking at running a pair on about 2500rms(before rise and voltage drop, so they probably wont see but maybe 800 or so each). I have plenty of room but dont where to aim as far as net enclosure size goes per driver, and how much port they like(IN AERO PORTS). I am aiming for a daily/spl mixed box, i tune around 37hz so it gives me a good medium of the 2. Any input would be great.

Thanks,
