I wouldn't enclose them, unless you are worried about controlling cone excursion in the bottom octaves. Modeling them the difference between two of them sealed in a .4cuft enclosure (.707 Qtc) and two of them IB from 70hz and up is nonexistent, from 70hz and down the IB has a more gradual rolloff (and thus more output). But sealed in .4cuft the drivers don't exceed Xmax with rated power, IB they exceed Xmax @ 45hz with rated power. Given I believe you intended to set the highpass somewhere in the 50-60hz range this shouldn't pose much of an issue assuming you use an acceptably steep slope. So I would mount them to a solid baffle in your door (affixed to the metal door frame, not the plastic panel) with appropriate amounts of sound deadening applied to the door to eliminate resonance and rattles, and a solid barrier to properly "seal" the inner sheetmetal door panel. For tips, information and products to accomplish the sound deadening aspect I would highly recommend you contact Don @ SDS The drivers will primarily be operating within their piston range, so there won't be much difference in the frequency response of the speakers themselves between on and off axis.

the wire is clean for the 3000D but still not yet for the 100.4 whats a good way to secure it? block of wood plus L bracket If it where my car, I would get a battery hold down with the j-bolts, THEN screw a short piece of 1" angle iron to the floor on both sides an hook the j-bolt through a hole in the angle iron. this way the battery will stay put in a wreck/rollover. easy to remove also.

Everything is a compromise. I'd much rather run the Seas Nextels than the L8...

You never answered this question. If you can, then no way would I run the little Seas... As for can you with your headunit and amp. You "can", but you won't have the control to really knock things into place. Conveniently for you though you picked a midrange that is very easy to tame so as long as your install is reasonable it should work out at least as good as a component set and has the potential to be even better.

ya, thank god my stereo is only one xcon, otherwise i'd probably kill myself lol. Theres a guy who lives in the town next to mine who has 2 12" solo-x's professionally installed, and his ears have already bleed twice and he is only 22. Some people are a little dumb...
