soundstream xxx-6500

Recommended Posts

would two 18 fully loaded BL's take the soundstream xxx-6500 amp? they are ported of course tuned to 35hz with two hifionics clossus one on each, they wang hard as hell. but just wondering if this amp would be too much?

it is 4800 at 2 ohms

and 6400 at 1 ohm

but i have been told they were much stronger than rated but with voltage drop i should be around that range>>> should wang i think

from what i hear those are ratings are at 16volts.....

its more like 4000@1ohm and 28-2900@2ohms i've been hearing

so i think the BLs can handle that for sure

1 x 4490W @ 1 ohm (14.4V)

The page lists (RMS, unknown voltage and THD): 3400W @ 4 ohm, 4800W @ 2 ohm, 6500W @ 1 ohm

S/N Ratio: >80 dB

Damping Factor: >350 @ 80Hz (+/-5Hz)

Dimensions: 24.53" x 11.42" x 2.56" (62.3cm x 29cm x 6.5cm)

Max. DC current: 465A DC (1 ohm, 1% THD+N)

Same board as:

. Audiobahn A4KDN

thats from amp guts.. personally i think the amp is a waste of money and current unless you have 16v electrical.. i would look into something different

well i may build a 16volt bank for it, and it is being hooked up from a friend that owns a shop so no money involved :woot:

That power for daily? If so, its a wee bit much if on a 16V setup. I dont recommend more than 2000W to them for daily (your mileage may vary and Im sure others will pop in with their stories of using more than that...)
