Tired JL Audio and want mag's,good choice or not?

Recommended Posts

Ive alwased had a pair of 12w6 and all my friends had 12w6. It is an amazing sub but i want something different. Has anyone have any experience with 12w6v2 and the new magnums? I want to switch to magnums but dont know if its a good choice. What are the pros and cons and reliability?

welcome to the site, you came to the right place to ask about magnums, from what I have seen there has been no reliability problems, and it seems to do everything well, not the best all out sub, but very good and can keep up and beat much mroe expensive subs

That is great! But will the magnum be compareable to the 12w6v2?

Let me kind of explain my experiences with the 12w6.

  • Has an amazing sound in ported or sealed enclosure and in many odd size boxes.
  • Has no problem with distortion
  • Last along time
  • And can handle a good amount of abuse (Meanning giving more power than recomended)

I have owned many great subs and I would take a mag over the w6v2 anyday!

My buddy has the 13W6v2s and he and I both prefer my Magnum over the JLs. ;)
