sub help in my car

i have one type r running at 2 ohms at 500 rms....its in a ported box with the sub facing the inside of the car with the seats down....can anyone give me any suggestions to make it louder or just anything to make it better

turn the box around and slide as far back as you can with out the sub actuallhitting the back of the car. also what amp are you using, and what are the box specs??

Ported box is a pretty generic description. If that thing ain't loud I'd say the box is at fault. What exactly do you have for a box (dimensions and tuning or *gasp* model if it is a pre-fab)
