can I replace stock sub with a new sub on stock amp

Recommended Posts

My friend has an 04 infiniti fx 35 and wanted to know if it is possible for him to keep his stock radio which Is a bose system

on a stock 300 watt amp and just change the sub, is this possible or will he have to change out the amp too?

Is it that easy, can he just replace both the amp and sub and keep the same radio?

he is just looking for more bass to add to his system. I believe it has 11 speakers and 2 subs.

You might have to check and see what the connections are. Some factory systems have different connectors and or wiring. As for output, if it increases, the difference will not be all that much.

even with a bigger better amp.

Not at all recommended. You can keep the stock h/u, but will need an amp, an enclosure, and a sub.
