Ryan, still no package as of 1:30pm today

AIght. That pisses me off. Kickin hasn't gotten his yet either, and the guy I sold the USA-425 to said he can't get it to work. WTF?

Congratulations and nice work on the interview.

Question: would you guys choose to buy a tire that handled marginally less well if it were quieter?

Yes, I would. Unless you are tracking the car, you'll never notice the difference on the street.

The reason I ask is I am pretty much sold on going with BFG's. In the past, I have enjoyed their predictable traction loss. The Michelin PS seem to hold a bit better (for nearly twice the price) but when they go, they really go. I killed a set of Yoko ES100's in 6500 miles (of only street driving), had similar longevity with Toyo Proexes, and don't really like Bridgestons (no real reason other than a gut felling). This leaves the BFG g-force KDW or KDW2.

KDW little less grip but quiet:

KDW2 more grip but noisy, looks cool too:

Not fair that they show the pic with a higher sidewall on the KDW

A buddy of mine had a BFG sponsorship on his CRX, and chose the KDW2's. I never noticed that they were loud at all.

Really? Now you have peeked my interest, I would imagine that my car in general is a lot quieter than a CRX in the first place too. I am sure he was running a lot less pressure (40f 43r--my car is heavy).

My BFGs are loud...little more aggressive tread, though :lol2:

Also get that nice whurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr noise at speed that results from having side mirrors the size of elephant ears :)

I think he would have ran about 35-38 psi.

Your car would be much quieter than that CRX. B16 turbo'd, lowered to the n'th degree, and typical Honduh exhaust. But, it was surprisingly relatively quiet inside. Most definately much quieter tires than my winter treads :lol2:

Well, I have only driven this car on worn out PS2's and my Hankook Icebears. If they are queiter then those I could give a rats azz and will get a set. They are only $15 more than the normal KDW. I'd like a little life and at least reasonably queit since I highway the car frequently.

Tires...pffttt

Can you really notice a difference if one is quiet and one is loud ?

How often do you drive without the music on ?

Probably never, so it doesnt make a difference.

Vogues on the Eldo, gotta have them white walls

My tires echo off of things when I go by them, lol.

Just happens that I still am wearing my winter tires w/studs.
