help with speaker system please

Recommended Posts

with 4 18''s and 30kw i needed to put some highs en mids.

i gonna run.

8 sets ( coax 5inch) total 16 speakers

2 sets ( mids 6 inch ) total 4 speakers

2 sets ( extra tweeters ) total 4 tweets.

wat will be the best way to run them, than i mean with the amps.

i have already 1 4channel amp (rf t8004)

what kind of total setup will be the best to run the front part?

thnx

Your 5" coax's can be brought down to 2ohm for two channels. (thats 8 speakers, first paired off and paralleled for 4 sets of 2ohm, pair these off and it makes two sets at 1ohm, series these and you've got 2ohm going to each of two channels).

6" can be simply paralleled and they will be 2ohm for each channel

now you're out of channels on your amp, you need another 2ch , run it just like the 6"s for the tweets.

You'll need crossovers for nearly all of it, it'll almost definitely have to be active unless you have the passives already.

btw, this won't sound good, it'll just have....sound

That is an absurd amount of speakers to put into a vehicle. Are you planning on having parties out of it out in the country? You will be deaf in no time, if you aren't getting there already.

May as well get another two T8004s. On two of them run two 5" speakers to each channel so that each channel on those two amps sees 2 ohms. Then on the third amp do the same thing with the 6s and tweeters.

edit since vladd posted at the same time as I did: I agree, it won't sound good. It'll just have loud sound.
