Apologies for simplicity of problem,having d/loaded audio troubleshooters and still no joy,1st try on a forum such as this. I can both see and be seen on skype and messenger,i can hear them,yet they cannot hear me,have checked out all the basics? sound and audio devices,ac97 audio configuration,ticked all the right boxes? and yet still cannot be heard, I am on p/bell windows home edition media centre, any help for a comp illiterate out there,gratefully recieved.

unfortunate communication errors happen like this.

take your time and enjoy the process of fixing the issue.

i would recommend changing ONLY 1 thing at a time, then reboot and try again.

sometimes clicking boxes and trying to fix things makes the pc confused.

a good reboot will allow it to think about what you want it to do.
