SAZ-1000D for the midbass?

Recommended Posts

i wonder if the SAZ-1000D would be a good amp for midbass

at the moment i'm running a 100.4 for mids/highs and the 125.2 for the midbass

now i wanna get 8 (4 in each door) SPL Dynamics HF6.1 for midbass, but i don't think the 125.2 will have enough power for 4 per channel so i thought about going with 2 SAZ-1000D

anyone tried them for mids yet?

If you only want to play up to a maximum of 300 Hz it will be fine.

over 300 it would be a problem?

i wanted to cut them at 800hz with 18db

The amp will not play over 300 -- the LPF is non-defeatable and maximum setting is 300 Hz.

meh =/

what about the older SAE amps ?

i may would get a 2nd 125.2, but the HF6.1 are 3ohm, so it would see 1.5 per channel and i don't know if the 125.2 will be stable at that load =/

btw. i wouldn't mind seeing a big 2 channel Sundown amp

like 500.2 , 500x2 @ 4ohm and 1ohm stereo stable, that would be awesome

VERY little demand for a high current Class A/B amp, IMO.

None of the Class-D amps LPF goes above 300 Hz.

You have four 3 ohm speakers per door ?

Bridge a 100.4 per side at 3 ohms... what is the DCR ?

Find an older ARC Audio XXK or CXL series amp.

270 x 2 @ 4 ohms, 525 x 2 @ 2 ohms

Or perhaps use mids that are more capable. 300Hz on a midbass could be made more than enough.
