what to set lpf and ssf at

i just got my autotek mean machine 1500 hooked up to my 2 type r 12s and i got the ssf at 35 and the lpf at 80...what do you guys run yours at or suggest i run them at

What is your box tuned to? If it's somewhere around 30-32 hz, a subsonic of about 25 hz works. My lowpass is at about 70 hz, but it depends on how good your interior speakers are.

its tuned to 35. 5.8 cubes..my interior speakers are loud and clear

"Loud and clear" is not what I meant by how good your interior speakers are. What is meant is how low they can play. Woofers in a component set sound much better at 80 hz than a sub does, so if you can get away with having your component play 80 hz, by all means do it. Same with 70 hz, 60 hz, etc. So set the lowpass of the sub at a place only to pick up where the interior speakers leave off in the lower midbass region.
