Three 12" Kicker CompVR's in a Chevy Caprice

Recommended Posts

The Legacy amp is supposed to be 2 ohm stable, and the subs were wired at 2.67 ohms, the amp is no longer powering up.

no led is on , no protect or power led, no issues with the fuses, all solid wiring, it just died.

Now, is it that Legacy is a P.O.S. ?

or is it that it knew I was not going to tolerrate it's existence but another week tops, before i replaced it? so it lost the will to live, and died, quitely in that trunk !

No, that amp is a POS. Its flea market brand if Im not mistaken. Id like to think you crushed its will to live but Im afraid the heartbeat was faint from the start.

lol, it is a 4000 watt amp though, lmao @ it.

Its funny how these insane max ratings are so high, then when you get down to business, the rms is really a joke. Whoever does the marketing for this stuff is going straight to hell!

:wackit2:

they sure are, lol

What's the new amp going to be?

i am not truly sure....

i believe at first he was wanting a small upgrade, then told me to see how far 400 to 500 dollars would get him, then .......nothing!

have not heard back from him yet.

would like to have 1200 to 1500 watts at 2 ohm stable.... should be easy enough to accomplish, if he goes this route.

he has a 15" Kicker L7 also, so sometimes it is on his mind to use it instead.

stay tuned, lol.

* any suggestion or good deals , let me know fellas???*

*any one with something for sale that fits the bill? i will let him know whats up.*

If its 400 to 500 dollars then why not SAZ-1500D? Isn't that what you run?

well bro, i always get hype on doing a new install like this,

removing the junk and filth and installing something a little more respectful, while keeping the budget low.

he had several hundred bucks in his hands on that weekend, several hundred!

I was told that he wanted to bang hard and would put 400 to 500 hundred in it.

So, trust me, i have been looking at all sorts of options.

however, i have not heard anything at all from him since.

I was texting him today, hoping perhaps he would buy up some more equipment so i could install some more.

thats how i get a little side money.

on the streets, it is hard to get someone to pay 425 bucks for a 1500 watt amp,

they have seen amps that claim 4000 watts for under 200 bucks,

never hearing of the "Sunshine" amp before.

it is a challenge to educate and inform what the differance is,

"just make it bang" and " get me a killer deal" is usually the terms.

If I had the cash he had in his hand, I would be in the E.R. for busted eardrums, lol.

i guess we will stay tuned.

But, on the list is a Sundown SAZ-1500D for $350, locally

and two sets of mids from Jay-cee, so like $65 bucks there.

also looking at a few other amps, as well as a upgrade to the cvr's.

Yeah I completely understand you on that one, everybody wants to bump for cheap instead of pay the big bucks to do it right (im having that issue right now with a friend of mine).

I feel you on that chop. I have some guys I work with that want to "bang" but want to pay flea market or less pricing. I preach the lesser known companies like the ones on this site and they all refer to it like it's garbage.
