What xs do I need for my f-150

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 ford f-150 triton V8. with the stock 130 amp alt. a 0 gauge big three upgrade. i'm running a kicker zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. the birthsheet says 1778 watts, and a sx400.2 at 4 ohms per channel. I'de say all together close to 2000 watts. I want to replace the primary battery with an xs battery. wich one should i get? my guess is the D5100

The largest one that fits. The D3100 is a better battery.

Actually the D6500 is the direct replacement battery for your application. You will get power for about 3000watts using it as your starting battery. This is a very strong battery and we have gotten great results from it! To get optimal performance from your system I would suggest adding a small secondary battery when you are able to. The D925 or D975 would be a great option or even the smaller D680 would add to the efficiency of the system.
