Fi Q12 bottom sticker needs to be removed?

For those of you who owns an Fi Q12 with cooling options, did you guys removed the bottom sticker covering the magnet hole? I've seen a few pictures of Fi Q12 owners that doesn't have the bottom sticker exposing the magnet's hole.

There is two different versions of the Q the newest one doesn't have a pole vent and removing the sticker will do nothing. The older version had a pole vent and didn't have a sticker.
