best way to place sub and port

Recommended Posts

I'm about to make my first HT sub box. I going to use a older se/xxx 10 tuned to the lower 20s. Since I have hard wood floors, should I face the sub down and port into the room or both down. The subs going to have around 300 Watts in agood size room. What do u guys think

The only way to find out is to try different combinations, but I can say that my home theater subwoofer enclosure is firing down, and port to the side.

I'm not saying that's the best way to do it or not, but mine is designed that way (and just possibly for a purpose) :P

I'd do sub side port side so the enclosure isn't jumping around.
