Upgrade your stock wire with thicker one(depends on the amperage(look for charts for that)).

Positive battery to positive alternator

Chassis to negative battery

Chassis to engine block

This helps when you install an aftermarket system and you draw way more current. The stock wire is not accommodated for that, so when you add a bigger alternator/battery you should upgrade your wires too.

It can help, yes. Will it remove it completely? That depends on each car and the power you're demanding.

My alternator isn't putting out much. Its stock. I want to get an HO one. But was looking into the big 3.

What vehicle do you own?

2002 Honda accord

I would do the big three,a agm type starting battery and see were your voltage is at.Then add a HO alternator if needed.
