Removing padding??

I have noticed some noise coming from one of the ssd's and took it out of the enclosure. turns out the tinsel leads have burned down some of the padding.I'd like to replace them to get rid of that terrible noise. so how do i go about taking the pads off? And i was thinking of grabbing some felt pads and 3m spray adhesive to repair. would that do me?
