Question about JL W7 Ohms

Recommended Posts

I maybe getting a 12" JL W7 which the guy is asking $350 for the sub. I will listen to it before I buy it, but is there anything in particular that JL W7's have problems with that I should be aware of?

Next question, I have a Cadence ZRS-8 amp. Will this amp be ok running the W7, because I think I read that they're a 3 ohm sub?

Here are my amp specs.

4 Ohm Competition Rating: 50W x 1

2 Ohm RMS Power: 750 Watts x 1

1 Ohm RMS Power: 1500 Watts x 1

That amp will be fine for that sub. I'm not a big fan of JL, so I have never owned one to give you any further information.

It is a good sub and that is a decent price, just make sure it works. Personally I would rather buy a new sub for that much money.

The seller is pretty much right at average to high price i see the 12w7's sell for in my area.

No problems I know of.

Amp will be fine.

Based on the power ratings you should get about 500w out of the amp @ 3ohm which would be sufficient.
