Line Driver???

Recommended Posts

Ok I have a 2013 ford fusion with ford mytouch. Touchscreen is connected to all the electronics in the car so running an aftermarket HU is out of the question because it will affect everything in the car. I have a 15" sp4 and im planning to run it on a sundown 3500. My question is if i use a line driver (audio control, LOC, etc)  to connect my amp to my Factory HU will I lose output or my lows by doing this compared to running an aftermarket HU? I just don't want to run an amp and sub if i can't get its full potiential. Thanks!

The LC2i has a eq circuit to overcome the factory low end compression.

An aftermarket HU will probably give you better performance, but you may need to mess with a lot more things...

yes and some times control and ability

do you have a factory sub that you plan to LOC off of?

if so grab a DMM and some test tones. and check for a roll off point  on the factory sub... some times they have a factory set Eq on the factory amp and that can lead much to desire when adding a sub in the style your talking about..
