    Officially Done

It’s been a good run for me but after the last couple years I’v realized that I got nothing left for the hobby.....i’v been more into spending my spare time with my family with no more interest in taking on any more projects.. not even local I’m officially done , I have no further plans on building anything car audio related unless it is for myself my wife or my kids....my current system build will be my last And this will be my last post on SSA take care ..... Trev
  2. So I finally got my 3.5l V6 running the way I want... A Zex wet 75 shot and one step colder on the plugs take in mind I have around 400 pounds worth of stereo in the back but it still really gets up and goes........ 3E4C9709-5597-4D38-8FD3-B064DB1C01B6.MOV
  3. Nitrous Oxide...... FUN IN A BOTTLE :phatyo:

If done properly it's safe , I'v ran nitrous on several of my cars

got the Zex universal V6 wet shot kit , it kinda makes the NOS kit look like junk.... with the Zex control module it's impossible to get a dry shot

running plugs 2 steps colder to eliminate pre ignition with a 75 hp wet shot.....

My 3.5 v6 Magnum is  just as fast as a  SRT8 Challenger 392 hemi ..... LOL

Once the weather warms up the timing is going back  - 4* and I'm jetting it to a 100 shot

I'm not a Dodge fan, But I have a coworker with a Chrysler 300 SRT8 that is nothing short of Bad Ass !!!

I personally haven't run nos in years so I haven't seen the updated stuff. Wish I could see your setup.

    2009 SSA ICON 10" D2

One of my favorite subs... Stick with 1cf3..... try and get the port velocity down to at least 8%

    Glue

There is a special glue just for surround repair.... ( this is strictly surround repair , not re cone) it dries flexible and clear http://m.prosoundservice.com/m9/PROSND-WHITESURROUNDDAMPENER--white-surround-dampener-speaker-repair-adhesive-glue-special-sale-price-19-99.html

    GCON replacement ETA?

I'd love to try these But with the us/Canadian exchange , shipping and duty the price pretty much doubles
  7. Thumpper

    Which glue for a recone?

I'v reconed hundreds of subs with this.... http://m.prosoundservice.com/m9/PROSND-RECONEGLUEKIT--recone-adhesive-speaker-repair-glue-kit.html
  8. Here's a before pic of the amp rack.... the enclosure completely covers 80% of the area , the fans along the back and the extra fans on the Mosconi is what it took to keep it cool during the summer heat , with this new enclosure having an extra 1.5" of space underneath I think I can ditch the extra fans on the amp i have to clean it up and make a space somewhere for the cross block
  9. I thought about the $$$ and even said to myself " this is stupid " but I heard the Focal #6 kit with cross block and it was just unreal ... this #7 kit should be Just sick i never would have gone FOCAL subs if it wasn't for the Audiofrogs committing suicide .... it was a domino effect just waiting for the snow to lay off so I can start the pillar pods for the utopia mids and tweets , the enclosure needs cosmetics and the wiring in this system is a cluster fk of colors from my last 3 systems so it's getting a complete re wire The amp rack needs some fiberglassing around the cooling fans
  10. these subs are really starting to impress me , very punchy . tight and accurate with the combination of subs and amp this is the best sounding bass I have had in a while... VERY HAPPY my component set showed up this morning....... if they sound as good as the subs I'm in for a treat these things are going to be bi amped with a pair of Soundstream REF2.640's thru the crossblock
  11. I wish I would have tried the Focals sooner one if the nicest sounding subs out there... very detailed
  12. I got the 4 Focals installed ( I'll take pics once the pie plate snow flakes stop falling) if I had a chance to listen to both the Audiofrogs and the Focals before I purchased I would have picked the Focals ...they sound deeper , handle more power , better output and are more ridgid on the note separation .. the cones on the Focals are VERY acoustically dead , they dampen extremely well ... they have a unique sound to them
  13. Kind of..... this system is getting expensive I got 4 Focal Kx 25's and a Mosconi Zero One to power them......also have the Focal Utopia Be #7 component kit on the way the rear firing enclosure is a perfect fit , I got 2 Focals in the drivers side of the enclosure and the other 2 will be here Monday or Tuesday
  14. The Audiofrogs did not pan out... they can not handle any abuse if you drive them hard the surrounds cut on the trim ring around them.... all 4 were sent back and I upgraded to the Focal Kx 25
