3 ICON 10D2s Build log > 2006 Toyota Solara

Recommended Posts

Ok, well I have a friend that we(Acidburn & I) are doing a build for. He's got a 2006 Solara. We are going with 3 ICON 10D2s.

Box Specs:

Tuning: 31hz

Box Volume: 4.008 ft^3

Squar Port Area: 49.5

For right now, we only have the box done. The rest of the equipment is still a work in progress. I'll update this thread as it comes in.

We made the box as big as we could for the room we had to work with without loosing functionality of the trunk. Anyways, on to the pics.

We'll end up picking out fabric next week to finish off the box as well. I have a feeling a sundown audio saz-3000d will find it's way into the truck of that car soon too. ;) thats it for now. Thanks again tom for all the help/tools/brains

LOL, i've finally got to see the whole build. tried for 2 days to look at it at work and would never load the whole page. (even with the resized pics) I've finally got to see it and its wicked. Can't wait to get my subs so i can build my box

So about 1.33 is the best for each sub?

1.25 is optimal

the box is actually 1.21 per sub when considering displacements

is that 1.25 before or after the subs been installed? like make it 1.25 with no sub and its perfect or make it higher than that so that its 1.25 once the sub is in it??

1.25 is optimal, and that does not include the displacement of the sub

kk, so what does the sub take up? lol

:edit: i found it .12 cubic feet

so that would mean that a box with 1.37 cubic feet per woofer would be perfect.

with a slot port? tuned something like 33 hz.?
