Too many 9's

You need to bump that score up :P

Yes it's very good score at low Hz, but this is with around 1.2-1.3Kw (the voltage during the burp was at 12.6v). This is too much for a typer...

Maybe i'll try to build a box at higher tuning freq and perhaps i will see even higher numbers...

A type R can take 2000 watts rms for a burp. I played 10,20,and 30Hz test tones on my Type R for 3 minutes, a full minute of each with 1200 watts

I was trying to blow it. All I got was a little smell. This was in a transmission line enclosure also so the only thing controlling the cone was the air mass in the line and the suspensions

A week ago i built another box for my Alpine in order to do over 140dbs.

The box i built is 2cf at 37Hz and yes i did 140.4db at 42Hz! :)

Nice. I assume thats with he same amount of power? Hows the sq with the new box compared to the 32hz box?

With the 32Hz box the Alpine hits the lows much better, in the higher freq is ok and has very nice sq.

With the 37Hz box the sq isn't that good. It hits much harder the higher freq, but in the very lows is just ok.

Bettwen 32 and 37Hz box, i prefer the 32. The 37Hz bix is generally more boomy.

I'll try a box at 34Hz. Maybe it will be the perfect for me.
