Tahoe Help

Recommended Posts

I need some help with ideas.

Please note i have very minimal knowledge with subs, amps, etc.

My brother is getting a 2007 Tahoe and he mentioned that he wanted a system so i figured it would be a great gift.

I was wanting to get 1 BTL 18" & Rockford Fs. amp.

If anyone could please help with what specific amps, etc. i need, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

A cost estimate would be great too.

I had been looking at the T10001bd and T1500-1bd Power Amps but i figured you guys would know a little more than i do.

Also, im expecting him to run it daily 1k+.

If any additional info is need please let me know.

Thanks again!

Edit: Looking now, would the BL 18's possible be a better choice?

Alot of things.

1/0guage wiring kit http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3935_Kicker+PKD1.html#

1 18" fi btl http://www.ficaraudio.com

on amp choice i would choose either a rockford t20001bd, or a IA20.1

custom ported box, either built by you. or by a proffessional.

(if you need me to design a box just tell me)

After reading your post, im starting to think the BL's would be a better choice.

With this in mind( 1k ), how's the T10001bd sound now?

Also, with this would i need to think about a capacitor as well?

I really appreciated all your help by the way.

your crazy kid....

your trying to help people by talking bullshit... you have no idea what your talking about.;.

you can run 500 watts to a btl with out clipping the amp nore the sub.....

your fueling the bullshit..

you do it all the time... you say shit you have no clue about.

if you wanna help people stick to what you know and stop trying to run around as if you have all the facts.

ok.. so what your recommending is people to use amps that wont power the sub correctly.... i really dont think anybody would reccomend that tbh..

a 1000 watt amp wouldn't be powering the sub "incorrectly"....it would run fine off of 1000 watts and sound fine.

who says the btl must have 2K..... who says it

you do! thats its... you can 200 watts to it.......

if you wanan tellsomeone that they may wants as much as 2k for that sub thats fine...

BUT NEVER tell someone they MUST run 2k to that sub or else they will mess up there amp

because its NOT TRUE!

we have been over this time and time again... but yet you still say these things.....

your a smart kid i know you are.. and you READ ALOT..... so why arent you reading the shit that matters?

you can run 500 watts to this sub witch oiut clipping........

will the OP want more power? maybe. does he HAVE TO NO!

the btl can take up to 6k daily.... so why dont you tell him that he has to run 6K to it>?

but what you also did rob was fuel bullshit into the car audio world... not jason is gonna tell 10 of his friends that

you cant run under 2k to a btl............

see what im saying......

you tell 1 person some thing wrong.. they tell 10 people........then 10 people tell 10 people and then 300 people take bullshit for fact.. that is the problem!

maybe on another site that is ok... but its NOT what SSA is about.... rob you have been here a few months now you should know this.

you said "clipping your amp. you can do it but its really not recommended"

when you could have told him there is nothing wrong with run less the 2k on a btl just watch your gains and besure not to clip.

thats just as easy as what you told him... and it would be correct.

true fi states that its 2k RMS sub... no where does it say you MUST run 2k.

i tryed to talk to you about your mis info before... but you allways turn into a kid about it...

itell you that you say alot of silly stuff, you say "you say alot of silly stuff"

i tell you your talking crazy you tell me to "go some where else"

get real.
