TS specs

i was just wondering, how important are TS specs really? i mean if a certain number is better that others wouldn't everyone shoot for that exact number? also why don't sub companies add specs like LE? thats a pretty important spec yet you have to look forever to find it.

I would say it's up to you how important they are, I'd say they will get you where you want faster, if you can have them at all. As you've mentioned already, not every manufacturer care to publish much data, not even important parameters such as Le to take your example. Some don't even give Sd, etc, etc. It's a bad attitude taken by them, in my mind. Myself, I cannot get to much data about a driver.

T/S parameters are the single most important indicator on 1) how a driver will (should) sound and 2) the required alignment...

You can put any sub in a ported box and make it loud, that doesn't make it right.....
