Warm cone?

I hear alot of people on here talking about the cone getting to hot, or warm, but how warm is safe and whats to warm? just curious thanks!

When I am working my subs hard the dust caps get warm like a heating pad.

yea mine has gotten warm but i wouldnt say that warm.

It is nothing to worry about, part of the way they cool themselves. Just don't get them hot.

ok cool not i wont hold back haha....i got a fully loaded btl so i was pretty confident that it was ok but like i said i was just curious

When they start smelling funny it's time to back off! Metal cones can get pretty hot. Totally depends on the sub though. Depending on the glues and type/size of coil(s) used I immagine some can get really hot and not be in danger.
