well Mr.T I got a few more questions for you:

12. what ohm load would you like to run, keeping in mind these subs are D4 or S4 so you can run 2 of them in either 1,2,4,8 ohm

13. how much power do you want to give each of these subs

14. got any good pics of your x? lol JK

now to restate my 3/4/9 questions

3. have you ever done car audio before? if so to what power extent (how much power)

4. what is your alts rating and front battery rating

9. do you have any extra batteries laying around or wires? or is this a fresh build!

at any do you have a preference towards amp brands?

What makes you want 2 10" dcons? Knowing your goals helps decide.

@CrazyKenKid

Alt - 125amp

Battery = I will have to get back to ya on that

I have a little experience. On my own rides that is. I used to have 2 Mach5 MAW-15's on a hand-me-down Orion 600D amp. Nothin big.

Its pretty much a fresh build. Im redoing the entire audio system.

@Theluker69

I like the dcon's Im looking for something snappy so I decided 10's

I chose dcon's because I am not looking to compete with anyone just want it to be loud and crisp for me and any Hunnies at the Red Light

hey I forgot about this thread, sorry man!

with your 125amp alt on 12.8VDC you can support a 1600watt setup.

since you said you don't want to compete and you want more of a daily setup, plus you said you want to pound it at a red light and make it sound good. plus your budget is 300$

based on those goals I am going to suggest either running 2 or 4ohm load since that will yield less of a pull on your cars electrical setup. and i am not sure if you care about used amps or bnib amps but on ebay i seen this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kicker-KX800-2-amplifier-Barely-used-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem336685ed9dQQitemZ220763385245QQptZCarQ5fAudioQ5fVideo#ht_500wt_1182

or if you want to go mono

or

or even better you could get

or

I like the idea of the kicker 800.2 though! if i were you I would jump on that for 200$

I just bought a brand new RF Power T500-1BD on Ebay for $260 with the Punch Eq remote. My amp came rated at 762 watts at 1 ohm, 494 watts at 2 ohms, and 289 at 4 ohms. You can get the dual 4 ohm DCON's and run them at 1 ohm or you can get an Audioque AQ1200D for $260 brand new it will give you 510 watts @ 4 ohms, 870@ 2 ohms, and 1200 watts @ 1 ohm. You can ran the dual 4 subs at 4 ohms and if you decide you want more power you already have it. It will save you money in the long run if you ever want higher power handling subs and AQ makes good products.
