Logitech Z-5500 bandpass box

Recommended Posts

Alright Ive been bored after work this week, so Ive decided to build a bandpass box for my 10" z-5500 woofer and see how it sounds. This is my first bandpass box so I went with the 3/1 ratio.

Designed by me of course, tuned to 40 hz with 15 sq in of port per cube.

Heres what the rest of it looks like. I built these little boxes during the winter (while I was bored also) They get hella loud

Will eventually paint it, but good enough for now! It hits a hell of a lot lower and louder than the original prefab box.

Did you measure t/s? How did you determine box size/tuning? Why 3:1?

I did this out of pure boredom and wanted something different so no I didnt measure t/s. Box size was similar to the prefab but just a little bigger ( I coudlnt go much bigger if I wanted too since I was about out of scrap wood which is what I used for this) , as for the 3:1... it seems to be a common ratio for bandpasses.
