SSA's Evil SS Camaro. 4 Evil 15s and 2 DC 7.5ks

Recommended Posts

Fixing the terminal was done on the second recone. Still had issues after that. Murphys law in full force.

Mark and Aaron know my frustrations and that i sold the zcons out of anger. There ok with it, I'm ok with it. were all still friends..... I think.

What are you thinking for new woofers?

Well Steve, the only reason I ever found out about SSA is when I saw the Camero in action. Definatly some very good products coming from Sound Solution Audio! BTW, this forum im my mind is held to a higher standard. Good luck on the future build, and I cant wait to see what you come up with Steve

I have decided to keep the Camaro at least untill summer.

I have ordered all new:

6g copper wire for speakers. With copper lugs

Toolmaker is making me new speaker terminals to accept 6g on the sub.

Also making me quad inputs to accept 6g into the amps. Since um strapping my amps I lose a set of terminals. And I'm paralleled.

New rcas for in the back.

New brass binding bolts.

losing the maxxlink.

A side from having issues at finals, I have had an inconsistancy for a while. I'm trying to weed that out.

Curious, does the push terminals do well as far as current flow...

I don't think the push terminals hurt it much but I dont want to trim my wire to make it fit.

Overkill? Eh maybe. But my speaker wires (all 16 runs) are 8 feet long and when you have battled the gremblins I have with this electrical. I'm not fucking around this time.

speaker_adapters_on_sub.jpg

These have a hole in the side and a set screw to hold the wire in place.

As for the amp... Since I'm strapping the amps in pairs I will lose one set of outputs on the amps.

Here is the solution. He's making them to accept 6g.

These are just his stock photos. Mine are paid for but not built yet.

304/30.

same as welding supply has just less expensive. Can't compete with knu ultra flex or what ever its called for strand count, but I would rather have a thicker gauge wire with less strands as long as its still flexible.

All 32 speaker wires are cut and terminated with 6g lugs. Crimped and soldered.. Need to order some shrink sleeve in red and black. And the copper bolts to run through the back of the box for the terminals.

Ordered my 1/0 copper cable to wire up batteries and amps. Replacing the cca already back there.

Also ordered aluminium bolt for my binding posts on the back of the box. Pretty much everything for the rebuild has been purchased/ordered. My subs should be here in a few weeks too. Getting excited!
