swift 501 Posted June 29, 2012 I ordered two FT1 4ohm tweeters and two PWX-8in mids 4ohm.Well the 8's that came are 8ohm.....Should I try and make this work or just send back for the 4 ohms? The amp is a Alpine PDX 4.150 and does rated at 4 or 2 ohms.
ricksi30 923 Posted June 29, 2012 You could just use them, but personally I would want them switched out.
95Honda 486 Posted June 30, 2012 You will have better fidelity with the higher impedance, with the cost of a small amount of output... And I mean a small amount... Little enough that you would probably never notice...

swift 501 Posted July 2, 2012 Or to say that differently the 4ohm option is stupidHmmm, I never knew. I did know my previous components were 4ohm and I also believe my coaxials are too. I figured I was ordering right. Thanks for the tip
