Fun story: my dad and I dislike my mom's P238 because it's fussy with hollowpoints and because shooting it without slide bite is a chore. No problem for her, though; she's dead ass on at up to 10 yards with it. Her explanation: "Well, I've always been good at dealing with little bastards."

So naturally, we now call it "Lil Bastard".

Funny you Lil bastard!

Unrelated I have been looking at garage lightening. I picked up one of these to try and really like the light it puts off. I think 8 will light a 30x40 area nicely.

I bought a couple of those for my wood shop. I don't really like them. I put up 3 dual 8 footers and just threw the 2 4 footers over my benches.

So I should stick with 8ft bulbs? Are they noisy?

I like them better. They can hum when it is cold outside, but it doesn't bother me when I am working outside.

If you look you will see the light from the 4 footers is compact, where the 8 footers are more expansive.

Those are almost exactly like mine.

I might look at the LED lights they offer for kitchens now, too. I saw a big ass 8 foot assembly for ~$110 that was wicked bright at Home Depot the other week.

Thanks Seth, I will pick up one more led for my work bench and get the 8' fixtures for the general area. I have a 30x40 foot print to light up. 6 or 8 fixtures should be good?

I'd go with 8, but you might be OK with 6. IMO you can't have too much light in a garage or workshop.

As long as you aren't getting a sunburn.

357 sig is impressive.

Texas State Troopers have been carrying the P226 in .357 practically since the cartridge was introduced.

I agree you can't have too much, so I will plan on 8 fixtures. I may be able to get some from work as they are always updating lights.

I do not understand pistols in anything other than 9mm and 45.  Maybe 22.

Everything else is esoteric to me.

.22 Remington Jet (bottle necked .357)? Yes please. .22 TCM is even more batshit.

This garage is going to be a man cave and SSA work shop. Big TV and rocking stereo, hell I may never go in the house again.

Tanning bed? Around here we call that "going outside".

It makes many appearances in my box builds. I don't use it, but the wife does.
