Is there a good way to fix a broken basket of a 12 zcon. . Its broke where the spokes connect to the top ring. . 4 of them are broke. But sub works perfect. . . . Really don't want to have to recone. . . Is this able to be welded? Without messing up surround or anything

What a crappy place for a basket to break. I think you will have to recone. :(

You have to order the basket too. Forgive me for forgetting to mention that.

I know. It sucks.. already been waiting over 2 months for my recone for my other motor. I really cant wait that much longer for another one ... trying to get my new build done. . Iv already missed 3 comps

I have missed none so far, but I will because I won't be done with my rebuild until my recones come in. Name of the game I guess.

I think you will need a new basket. You could try a small tack weld, but i'm not too sure how that will work out for you.

What you're going to have the most trouble with is keeping the top ring completely level. I would sand it all the way down before attempting anything.

The basket is aluminum, it isn't going to be easy to weld. You need a new basket and recone.
