Budget 12" sub help

Also you can't hear the difference between that wattage.

I probably worded that poorly.  Disregard that comment.  I'm mainly just concerned about the box size.

Hes not trying to say will the watts make a difference in sound. He wants to know if that much power with that size enclosure will be ok

Could you add something inside the enclosure (supports or really anything) to make it closer to 1 cube?

I could add a couple pieces of 3/4" MDF to the inside, but I honestly wouldnt know how much to add.

Just need to do math

Found an online calculator to help figure out the cubic feet of a piece of wood (math wizard I am not).  Looks like a 2'3"x2'3" piece of 3/4 MDF will take up .32 cu ft.  Pretty much exactly what I need to bring the box down to 1.0 cu ft to make the SD-12 work.

How much power did he run to his icon in that box?

You don't need to modify that box, use it and if you do feel like it is too big, add the piece of wood later.
