Single 12" or 15" Mag

Recommended Posts

May be a stupid question but i've heard people talk against the 15" for whatever reason and I was curious what you all thought.

I'm planning on purchasing a single sub, either the 12" or 15". Are there any major differences between the two besides power use and loudness, or any reason against getting the larger version that I should know of.

Thanks in advance.

the 15 has a lower FS, and some other little variations... I can't really recall anyone saying anything bad about the 15's...

If you have the budget and room and desire a little more volume, go with the 15. It's like a regular Blow Pop (12") and a super Blow Pop(15"). The same great taste, just a little more.

Looks like i'll be going with the 15". I appreciate the responses, and if anyone could suggest an Amp to go along with it, i'd appreciate that as well :)

Also, i'll be buying through Low-Hz.com, has anyone worked with them before?

Yeah that would be great, i'd feel a lot better if I at least had a design, then i'd just need to find someone to make it :).

I'm pretty sure I want a ported box.

Someone sent me this as an idea, I don't know much about the boxes or the sizes that they should be and what not.

Car?  MAX dims?  Listening habits (material)?  Power level?

Honda Accord (PLENTY of trunk room)

Dims? >_<

I listen to a LOT of music, anything from Rap such as T.I., to Sublime, to Techno, Oasis etc.

Still haven't decided on an Amp but I was looking at an Orion 1200D

What year is the Accord and body style?

Good choice on the amp.

I was also pointed towards an MD1 or an XT4000D, so I just need to decide between the 3.

It's an 1995 Accord LX Sedan

Are you ordering it online or locally? If online, where?

Probably the only place you can order Mag's online, www.low-hz.com. :OhYeah:

I already ordered my Mag :) I was talking about a Box for it since I read his post wrong =P.
