Here's a couple pictures of the moving assembly of a Magnum 12 (the coin is a quarter - I put it there just for a reference).

im not to familiar with how subs work but that metal post is a voicecoil right?

i so thats damn big compared to other stuff ive seen

you should put the coil with some of the other brands you used to have in your dorm room....since we're comparing. :D

Yep. The red-colored (coated 20 gauge aluminum) windings are the coil itself and the black bobin (anodized aluminum) it is wound on is the voice coil former.

Dude, you gotta chrome out that former and coil. It's all about the bling. That would be mad-tight yo.

Moving assembly = very cool... I got to play with it over the weekend. Amazing how light weight it is -- Nick is a huge fan of a low Mms B)
