A larger port will also have a steeper roll-off below tuning, from what I've noticed. Which kinda goes with what you said, Shizzon.

i believe you are referring to mechanical bandwidth? If your design is using far too large of a port, it can cause the sub(s) to unload a lot easier reducing the available bandwidth that can be played for a mechanical reason.

Here's what needs to happen. . . . Kevin, you have a questionable past you can NOT deny. This amp could have been blown before hand, and it could have been blown by the user. It doesn't matter. What you need to do is to eat it. Give the guy his money back and take the amp back. Don't use UPS for a claim. If you need to do that, refund his money first, then get the amp back and deal with UPS on your own accord. Don't make him wait on them. It sucks for you, but this is what you need to do to prove you're an ethical business man.

Until it stops acting like a port (Hemolitz Resonator) because it is too big (or extremely small), the only difference in overall response will be compression. Any other differences people find/think they find is do to miss-alignment...

What it sounds like to me and friend is that when you had the amp on 12v the ground was good enough to keep the amp grounded and safe, then when you started the vehicle and achieved 14v your ground was insufficient causing permanent damage. This issue with the amp couldn't have been detected as the damage would have been caused in your car.

You talking about Aaron? He's a bad motha......Watch yo mouth. I respect Mark and Aaron for the fact they dont go around suggesting SSA subs to anyone and everyone just to make a buck. That is what truly puts me off on other forums. Members with agendas playing fan boy. They run a great forum and really allow the members to do as they please as long as it stays intelligent and for the most part mature.

I'll never again sell anything over the internet, ever. It's far too big of a hassle & risk.

On the contrary, you just made yourself look ignorant. You're assuming people went from SA's TO AQ's. This was not the case. SA's were put into the AQ boxes. So I guess the SA's are WAY better because they do better in the wrong box when the AQ as an optimal box. Actually that's quite an accomplishment, way to prove him right. So he's saying the box was better for the SA's, showing the people didn't know how to make the AQ's work right. This guy is a fuck nut.
