Does the Infinity 1211a do rated power??

It states 1300 @ 2ohms at 14.4v. I currently have an MD2D on my RL-p 18" @ 2 ohms, but it's only getting around 800 rms. I was thinking of swapping them out, but i'm not to sure on the rated power for the Infinity.

Yse it does on the back. What does that mean???

the CEA symbol means that it was tested by an independent lab ( non Bias ) and it did rated power

should mean what is stated on the box is what it will do in a perfect world

CEA is far from unbiased.

The one I played with was doing really close to it's rated power with 13.7v. It was right at 1200w with a 2ohm load.

That's good news guy. I think I'm going to put this amp on my 18" and see how she like it. Adjust the gains properly, and I should be good to go. Thx for your help guys, Vic.

JBL based= atleast rated power. I'd jump to make the swap.
