SSDs vs Qs

Recommended Posts

As far as Fi subs are concerned should I run 3 10" SSDs or 2 10" Qs. Will the SSDs handle 600w rms no problem. Especially if I upgraded the SSD

3 10" Qs are a No cause of my budget

I noticed that the Q is desgined to work in smaller enclosures than the SSD?

The SSDs should handle a clean 600w with no problem, even without the upgrades.

Just make sure the gains are set well. :)

In theory, yeah. I've heard the number 300w tossed around too.

What amp do you have in mind?

One 1500D for two copper coil SSDs is what I'm planning to do. A nice round 750W each, just below the rated power, so I should be cherry.

I would rather have the Q with no changes then the SSD with the BP power.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I need to buy used and all the offers that keep coming are SSD's. I heard they are nice with the copper coils but I think I'm going to hold out for something better. Let me know if you choose SSD's and I'll refer you to people that are trying to sell them to me
