so i sent my money to dominick irraggi for a custom hand made alternator, and havent heard back from him since. havent gotten an email, and he will not answer my calls. i have left a message, but when i tried to leave another one i got a message saying his voice mail was full.

USPS confirmed that he recieved the money order on the 11th, and that was a full week ago that i have waited and not heard anything from him.

can anyone help me out here, i dont wanna start pointing any fingers, but a full week when i havent heard from him and dont have an alternator yet he is holding $500 of mine isnt exactly letting me sleep easy at night.

anyone else on this forum dealt with him?

i dont consider 8 days without contact "a few days", and even so, why cant i get through to him with an email or phone call?

I've heard both good and bad stories about him. I have also read some of his posts on Termpro, and to tell you the truth, I personally do not like the way he presents himself. Everytime I see a post about a competitors product, he seems to always butt in and lend his own $.02, and he does it in a belittling fashion. That to me is a put-off and I will never do business with him because of it. I have talked to Rick with HO and he seems like an awesome guy, yet I have heard good and bad things about HO as well.

Here's how I see it...... People make mistakes and it seems many of the "lesser" people in this business start to make a name for themselves and business grows while they are not prepared for it. It can be overwhelming and the way things are today, people send money and want the product yesterday. But what do I know.

radioactivity, a local shop, deals with him on almost a daily basis. scott will not sell anything but iraggi alts. he has never had an issue with him, even with sending him a competitiors(ohio gen) product to get it rewound after it failed.

i don't like the idea of no communication, but i believe his product is well worth the wait.

and the dissapointment mounts...

well things have gotten(in my oppinion) a bit shadier today...

i called yesterday and suprise suprise, still no phone answering skills. i hang on the line to leave a message, but the beep on the machine when you normally start your message wasnt a beep, it was an electonic voice telling me that the message box was full and couldnt hold any more messages. so i try him again this morning hoping(in vain) that someone would pick up a phone. no answer, however this time the message box is not full and i am allowed to leave a message, and i proceed as normal.

but here is what this means... people are getting these messages, and deleting theem off of the machine. so they know people are calling(and evidently several people are), yet they cant return a phone call and answer questions, nor can they reply to an email... im tying to be patient, but i am broke, i leave in the morning for school, i have severe electrical issues(including a failing alt), and now i have $429 unnaccounted for and i have nothing to show for it.

oh yeah, and to make the day better, i got a ticket today. so yeah, life rules.

i just got off the phone with scott, the owner of radioactivity..and this is what he had to say..

when u order and altenator from iraggi, figure two weeks before u get it. scott has been waiting a month for a alt for an escalade..but he says that is par for the course...

by being a small shop and the fact that dom goes to all kind of shows (which is what is going on currently,accroding to scott) dom gets backed up (which he already was to start with, according to scott) and things take a little longer.

now, i'm not taking sides, i think both sides are still in the right.....hoss because noone has let him know anything and for telling him that it would just be a few days...and iraggi, because quality take time and his stuff is quality..

anyway, hope that helps a little..

ur right...the customer service leaves a lot to be desired<---why i didn't buy re

when u drop money u expect certain things..

i hope scott is right about what is going on, he's never lied to me before and there isn't any reason for him to lie about this..

so with that said...sometime middle of next week is what scott was sayin u should look for ur alt...end of next week latest.

the only update is that 14 days have passed since he recieved my money(not since i sent it...), and i still havent heard anything. he isnt responding to emails, isnt answering phone calls, isnt doing jack. and everyday i get a little bit closer to taking legal action.

the voice of one person may not change much, but if you look on ca.com there are several other people going through the same BS with him. it needs to get to the point where he gets off his ass and runs his freakin company.

edit: sorry if i seem a little pissy, but im getting pretty mad about the situation...

to play devils advocate..it has just now been 14 days...it might be just a few days longer..

but to not correspond with someone who just dropped $475 dollars on their ass is, well, asinine!!

scott called while i was there and got the voicemail. i gave him ur name and he said he'd keep tryin. he's still waiting on his and has another two to order (one for a caprice and one for a dodge, bigger then a stratus)

Hope you get it and are happy with it..............my friend just blew his Escort alt. and is gonna get a new one soon.
