38.2v at 1 ohm with my voltage being around 15v-14.8v

This is pretty basic stuff.

I = V/R so Current = 38.2/1 = 38.2 Amps

P = VI So power = 38.2x38.2 = 1459 Watts.

Inductance is the thing that will interfere with your calculations. You will most likely see well over 1 ohm actual impedance so those basic formulas do not apply

If the guy who benched it had a non-inductive load, TRD's math is spot on

I can tell you that it was done with a non-inductive load and it was actually a 0.9 ohm load.
