Newsgroups pWn for music downloads ... The download can't be tracked, I've never heard of anyone getting viruses using it, and I can usually get a full album at 192 kbps or better in less than 3 minutes ...

Of course, it's a bit more complicated than most other methods ...

I still use WinMX for individual songs ...

Bittorrent is also a decent way ...

Yes, newsgroups own. WinMX is gay and getting individual songs is weak. Torrent sites are mediocre as most of them only have mainstream crap with any seeders.

http://webaccelerator.google.com ftw!

Makes firefox or IE much faster. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Pfffffffffff!

Why do you need a program for firfox, when this is much faster. :D

1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

There are also similar tweaks for IE, although I forget what they are ... Been a while ...

I can't top Dennis' pic, but boy ... what a day.

One of my good friends got T-boned last night and called me about right away ... around 9PM. Everyone was fine - car was written off (Chrysler Sebring). I worked on his settlement all last night and finalized it this morning. Pushed it right through to the top of the list. Anyway, he's getting a nice chunk of change.

He wanted me to go car shopping with him so I said sure, why not. I didn't know we'd be going today. He calls me at work just after I finished faxing his papers through, and he says "Let's go to Kelowna and look for cars." ... so we go.

Leave at 9:00AM - it's a three and a half hour drive there. Arrived in Kelowna about 12:30ish, stop at the Chrysler place (he's a Chrysler guy ... I know, I know) and look at the 300. Nice car. I say ... well, let's go look at the BMW lot - I did manage to get your a pretty nice settlement. So he agrees and we head over to the BMW lot. First car he sees inside was a black 325xi. Takes it out for a test drive while I drool on the M3, comes back, does a little dealing, signs the paper, and boom we're on our way home.

I wish I could decide on a vehicle that quickly :P
