Hopefully that helps, I tried to keep it to things that even a Sam's club liquor store might have thinking that it would translate to KS okya.

Let me know what you liked and didn't and in the future I can be more focused. Considering it is new to you all variety is nice.

Generically speaking start with the lightest ones and work your way up. If you have a real diverse budget, drink the older ones first instead. ;) The cabs might be the hardest on people, but they are by far my favorites. I can go on and on with recommendations on those.

Need to find a replacement for

DC Brushless Fan

Model: HT-05015

Hui Tong

DC 12V 0.14A

^What it says on the fan from bottom to top. I'm assuming the Hui Tong is the company because it is written in the middle.

Might "win" an Adcom 2535. Can you say sub channel :D

I almost bought one of those for the office, 60x2 and 200x1 is a nice combo for a sat/sub system.

Kent,

This is the style of measurement that I would propose to explain the enclosure differences:

passattv0.jpg

Coupled with an acoustic response.

FYI: That is a VW Passat at 51Hz, a little free panel gain at that frequency eh?

holy shit batman !!! that is crazy! you can defintely tell where it's going to rattle, lol. that peak is the crazy.

and you have some serious tools/toys. hanging out here with you guys is really making me feel dumb. times like this, i feel like i belong at the chithole.

Not really all that exciting of a story, but here are the details.

I was working as a manufacturer's representative and in Ottawa for a meeting with Sciemetric. As entertainment they thought (yay) to bring us out to a stripclub and entertain us. The owner of the company bought me a few private dances in a row with the girl I liked best, well by the second song she was asking where I was staying and what I was doing afterwards and not in a way that most strippers do, I felt she was actually sincere. They are pretty liberal with touching in Ottawa and she was having lots of fun playing with me so I decided to return the favor. Needless to say she was happy to have me finger her in the room. Of course before the end of my time in the room the maitre de walked by and saw it happening and escorted her right off my hand and out the door. Needless to say I didn't get to hook up with her afterwards. I did find out it was her first night and she had never danced before though.

what? should've beat the maitre de's ass, lol...

Until tonight I never have seen a table buy 500 dollars worth of wine. Including food the bill ended up like 8-900 bucks not including minimum 8% gratuity. Money money money, MONAY :werd_msword:

Kent, you belong here not the chithole believe me I like you which I surely can't say about the fools over there.

As for the peak, it is a bit exaggerated...but it does show exactly how the roof will bend when exposed to 51hz. When we do the box comparison we will see similar things in the mdf, although the motion will be less than the driver the surface area of the box is larger which is basically more Sd which of course needs less motion. It will surely paint a picture for us.

Ok, question on some home theater speakers... I'm doing a 5.1 install for some friends, and I'm looking at using the Usher 8945P driver (7") for the mid on the 3-way mains, then a MTM setup for center channel and a TM design for the surrounds. Is having something like that just to flat out big for the surrounds? I've never done surrounds before and not sure on how big they have to be. I was looking at keeping all the driver/tweet setups the same to make sure the sound stays consistant as it travels around. So basically I'm wondering if having a TM using a 7" is just to damn much for surrounds and need to step it down to something like a TM using a 4" or so?

Opinions?
