I have some DD mids and i would like to pair them up with a set of CDT tweeters and 456 passive crossovers.

I can get them for a great price from Upstage Audio.

Would this be a bad idea ?

If so explain.

Making my own passive crossovers will cost much more money, not to mention, i need to buy tweeters as well.

If i need to, i'll make some

if it's the same impedance as the cdt mids that go with that passive xover you should be fine, but it may not be optimal because the dd mid may like a different xover point/slope.
