Box Build for 350zspl

Recommended Posts

This one is 3 cubes @ 35 hz for a trio of DD 1508's I believe. Used a pair of 4" precision ports and had to put an elbow on each. Box will be left bare and have all edges rounded over.

When you measure the distance of a aero port that is curved, do you take the inner side, the outer side, or an imaginary line in the middle?

Down the center. In this case, the center length of the elbows was 10" IIRC.

If I remember Ill get some pics next time I use them. But, they are just standard 4" 90* PVC elbows.

Amazing work!

I love the look of the unfinished box. Alot of sanding to get it to look like that?

actually trupan has a better look to it over mdf when both are non-finished

so more the wood itself over sanding leaves that type of finish

but with exterior edges routed , woofers counter sunk, and trupan as the material , it comes out looking so nice no need to cover IMO

Nope, not much sanding at all actually.

When you make your initial cuts out of the sheet, do you use a table saw or a circular saw?

Table saw all the way. Much better than a circ saw.

Where do you get Trupan at? Is it available at a local lumberyard, Lowes, Home Depot or Menards?
