4.5ft^3 tuned to 25 hz... ya i know its low but thats the best bass

Depends on what type of music you're listening to. My HT sub is tuned to 25Hz. If you listen to rap you aren't going to want to tune that low.

the manufacturer posts recommended enclosure sizes and tuning for a reason, use them

Sealed box: .8-1.6 cuft

Ported box: 1.8-2.5 cuft @ 33Hz

(per sub)

with 1000wrms give or take for both subs i would go as large as possible ported at 33 hz. if you need a box design checkout fisher customs or pound that sound, maybe they can steer you towards the right design for your application.

advice aside, if your goal is to be heard from a long ways away i would scrap the subwoofer idea all together, buy some books and educate yourself.

ya i know but i love the bass in the 20s... and it just sounds smoother
