For The Integra

Recommended Posts

Well, I want to add a few things to my boy's Integra we bought for him. His grad is coming up and I figure it would make a nice gift.

Head unit is taken care of.

Front stage:

Adire Audio Koda 8's + Image Dynamics CD1-Pro MH's.

Adire Audio Koda 6.1

Image Dynamics CXS6

Alpine SPX-F17T

Kicker 04SS56.2

Diamond Audio M661 or D661

Peerless, Davis, Audax, Vifa, or Morel 6.5" mid coupled with tweeter.

Custom 3 way with an 8", 6.5" and tweet or 6.5", 4" and tweet.

JL Audio XR653-CSi

Amplification:

JL Audio

Arc Audio

MTX

Xtant

Clarion

Kicker

JBL

Old school Orion

Cadence

Next

Clif

And the noise makers:

1x or 2x JL 8W7 or 10W7

1x Crystal CMPX2 15"

2x ID IDMAX 10"

Wait for new Tumult.

And I've got a couple other ideas in my head.

Let's hear the thoughts and suggestions. I think by the equipment listed, you can tell what we're going for.

After three miscarriages, we didn't have any other options.

Thanks for bringing the issue back up. Feels just damn fine and dandy to talk about it.

Kodas or ID set for the front stage. Keep it simple and both those will work well, off-axis, in-door with little work. Don't even thing about the 8s and horns.

Amplification is such a tossup.

Same for sub drivers, but it's really going to be application dependant. I'd personally go with a 1 sub setup. Easy for space concerns in the small hatch, yet the hatch will provide enough reinforcement to only necessitate 1 driver.

I think I've got it down to either one 10W7 or a pair of 8W7's.

I just might be dead set on the Kodas for the front stage ... they'd work well.

Don't know about the amp situation yet, though.

Adire Audio Koda 6.1- I have heard a set of these and really think that Adire did a great job on these.

Image Dynamics CXS6-No first hand experience but most seem to like them.

Custom 3 way with an 6.5", 4" and tweet.-this would be great IMO, soo many options for speakers though

Amplification:

JL Audio-always good clean power but pricy.

Arc Audio-well known, great quality

Old school Orion-You know this is my choice, Always has...always will. They may not be the BEST (we all know there is no best), but These are great amps and they can be found for a very good price now days.

1x or 2x JL 8W7 or 10W7-2 8s would be really cool cause you hardly see it. Brahma or the SS RL-I would be cool too.

2x ID IDMAX 10"-These get excellent reviews, although I have no first hand experence I beleive that these would be a very good match to the integra.

i vote for a pair of rl-i 8's for the subs,

a memphis belle for power (the mc-1300)

a set of memphis msynq 8" componets for up front/rear fill (yep, the midrange/bass is 8")

u could then call the car " 8's over canada" or something unlame like that..hehe

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

Well, I have actually thought about an all Memphis system.

:+1:

the only issue is with the 8" subs. memphis only makes one model, the mclass. while i know ur building, or at least leaning towards, an sq install, which is what the mclass 8's are designed for, i know u'll want some decent output as well. so i'd suggest the m3 10's for staying all memphis.

but i really think a pair of the rl-i 8's would be sweet, or maybe a single rl-p 12 or rl-s 12 (when they come out)

I like the idea of the Koda's upfront,

but to save some loot and space I would run a Kicker or Orion 7005(.5) (if not look at the SX 5 channel, sick IMO)

and an RL-p 12 or RL-i 10's or you would love the MAG, the power would be plenty from the amp and the Kodas should rock with it

Id say go with the ID comps or the Kodas depending on what kind of mounting depth you have.

And I like the idea of the Big Belle, still wish I kept mine.

Subs, subjectional mostly. Whatever fits the bill.

You will need baffles no matter what.

3/4" ones will work great bacause there is just enough clearance for the door panel to go back on
