You end up with a driver that has a really crappy response compared to what it would be if it were in a box designed for it.

It won't perform as desired. Are you thinking of a BL or BTL?

How would it blow up a sub, please explain this one. A box doesnt damage a sub, the user and how it controls it messes up equipment.

i meant would it mess up the sub meaning since its not in the correct box because a sealed box usually holds in the pressure from the speaker moving. please dont get offended, just a question i always thought about. and im going with 2 dc audio lvl4 xl 15s.

So your gonna throw 2 DC Level 4 XL 15"s in some sealed boxes, why? Can you even fit two in there and still have room for batteries, amps and air flow around the box?

One XL 15" in a proper ported box will be louder and sound better then two in a to small sealed box.

Hell maybe even one 10 in the right box. Complete waste of sub to mis-use it. And more importantly a complete waste of money. DON'T

It's going to have a terrible response. You're probably going to get an f3 of like 80 hz, meaning it will have no lows at all.
