Short on Crossovers.

Recommended Posts

I bought all of Johnathan Prices' old component sets for a real good price, a few of the crossovers were….. well shitty and unusable. But I am MORE than ok with that.

My question is, could I run 2 mids & 2 tweets off one crossover? I wired up a 2 mids & 2 tweets to a crossover to check the ohm load at the “input” space and it was at 3.44ohm.

If not then I’ll just run the tweets off radio and mids off 100.4 till I find a cheap 50.4.

No.

Passive crossovers are designed to be used with a specific impedance. Deviating very far from that impedance will change the crossover points as well as render anything else designed into the passives to be virtually useless.

I figured as much. I'll just use radio for tweets for temp.
