Recommended Posts

hey guys im really tight on space..the sub will go into a 2007 cadillac cts and id like to retain some trunk space..i know fi suggests 2.8-4 cuft for a 15..but whats the smallest i can go without suffering any loss in perfomance quality wise and output?

If you're strapped for space, why get a 15" ? Should have gone 10" or 12".

Also, 2.8 cuft is after port, sub, and bracing displacement.

Better off with a 12 or two.

Firing a 15 up into the trunk lid is "usually" not ideal in a trunk.

i havent bought it yet, i was thinking about doing it sealed..but all my past systems where sealed so i wanted to see how ported is..i dont have any issues with going 12..i can go 12 if the outcome will be better with my space issue..by the way reason i dont go with 2 10's or 12's is cause i only have 1000 watts to work with

Your going about this the wrong way, what are your goals? The BL and the Q are made for COMPLETELY different things.

I kinda see him wanting loud over sound quality from the start. The BL will still sound good.

That's your listening preference, not what you want to achieve.
